Written by and starring Iona Morris
A one-man show... performed by a woman.

Before my father died, he said he wanted to get back on stage just one more time. Unfortunately, he died without fulfilling that dream. So, after his passing, I wrote FOR YOU. A tribute to my father. A journey through a man's life to help inspire others and the loving gesture, that one more time -- my father could perform on stage. And, he does... through me. Oh, he certainly does.

Talk/Sung by Greg Morris from his album FOR YOU
![]() SYNOPSIS Iona MORRIS plays her father, Greg Morris, from the hit ‘70’s series “MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE.” Through her, he tells us his life’s story, from his early days in Cleveland, Ohio, to college dreams dashed and renewed, to coming out to Hollywood where he made his fortune and found fame as the first Black actor on a hit dramatic series who wasn’t the comic relief, through the alcoholism and anger that ultimately took his life. Using jazz as the musical backdrop, with a minimal set and props, playing her father, herself and a myriad of other characters, Iona creates a tour de force. A show “...with all the passion and attitude as if he came back himself to deliver his epic.” In the end, Iona helps her father find peace and he helps her live life more abundantly. | A portion of the opening "The fear of a man is usually hidden behind bravado, anger, laughter, success, even. Tap that fear and a dragon breathing fire appears to destroy everything in its path, so that the fearful one can again feel the power of his made up life. ... Not looking at the past held captive in its mind becomes a cancer moving through the dragon and eventually, unattended, (it) kills the dragon... dead."
